Nicolas Morgalo - Emerging Artist

Born and raised in Miami Florida, Nicolas Morgalo is a 17-year-old avid artist. From an early age Nicolas has demonstrated his innate artistic talents, which are the driving force behind his fortitude to overcome the many challenges of living with an Autism Spectrum diagnosis.

Nicolas enjoys working with different media and techniques depending on what he wants to express in his artworks. In recent years there has been an emphasis in watercolors and ink as his favorite media.

Nicolas’ Art has been selected to be part of various exhibits including the Miami Dade County Youth Fair, where he won the “2016 First Prize” in the poster category, and the Miami Dade County Public Schools Small Worlds Exhibition where he received the “2019 Award of Excellence”.

Often recognized by those around him for his kind and loving nature, Nicolas is a dedicated student, recently receiving the “Daniel Sarmiento Resilience Award” from Miami Dade County Public Schools acknowledging his initiative and perseverance during the pandemic and the “Excellence in Fine Arts” amongst other awards.

Nicolas aspires to have a career as a visual development artist, or a character and background designer in the animation industry.
